Step-by-Step Butterfly Drawing Tutorial
Step 1: Draw the Head and Body
Start with a small circle near the top of your paper, that’s the butterfly’s head. Then, right below it, draw a long oval shape for the body. It can be skinny or a little chubby your choice.

Step 2: Add the Antennae
On top of the head, draw two wiggly lines curving out like spaghetti noodles. Add a small dot or circle at the tip of each one. These are the butterfly’s antennae.

Step 3: Draw the Top Wings
Time for wings! From the middle of the body, draw a big curvy shape on each side. Imagine making a huge number “3” on the right and a backward “3” on the left. These are the top wings.

Step 4: Add the Bottom Wings
Now add smaller wings underneath the top ones. Start from the lower part of the body and curve outward, making soft “C” shapes. These bottom wings make the butterfly look extra graceful.

Step 5: Decorate the Wings
This is the fun part! Inside each wing, draw big circles, tiny ovals, or even teardrop shapes. You can make the patterns match or mix them up, butterflies come in so many styles.

Step 6: Add a Face and Final Touches
Let’s give your butterfly a happy face. Draw two big eyes, a little smile, and maybe some blushy cheeks. You can also add a few stripes on the body to show the segments.
