- Pencil or marker
- Printable step-by-step guide (grab it at the end!)
Let’s Start Drawing
Step 1: Draw a Happy Face
Start by drawing a small circle in the middle of your paper. This will be the center of your flower and we’ll turn it into a happy face later.

Step 2: Add the Petals
Around the circle, draw big rounded petals. You can make about 6 or 8 petals, like loops or jellybeans. It’s okay if they’re not all the same size flowers come in all shapes.

Step 3: Draw the Stem
Under the flower, draw two straight lines going down to make the stem. You can curve them a little if you want a dancing flower.

Step 4: Add Leaves
On each side of the stem, draw a leaf. Just make a long oval that comes to a point like a little lemon shape.

Step 5: Draw the Smile
Go back to the center circle and add two little dots for eyes and a smile underneath. Your flower is now happy to see you.

Step 6: Add Some Details
You can add small lines inside the leaves and petals. Maybe even draw tiny dots around the face or draw more flowers nearby.

Time to Color
Now for the fun part, coloring. Use your favorite crayons or markers to bring your flower to life. Yellow petals? Go for it! Purple face? Sure! You can make a rainbow flower, a sunflower, or even a bluebell there’s no wrong way to color.

Try These Flower Styles Too
Want to try more flower looks? Here are a few fun ideas:
Sunflower Style: Make the center big and brown, with long yellow petals.
Daisy Style: Use white petals and a yellow center.
Fantasy Flower: Mix in swirls, stars, or hearts instead of petals.
You can draw a whole flower garden just by changing the shapes and colors a little.
