Let’s Draw a Cat

Step 1: Draw the Head

Start by drawing a large circle near the top center of your page. This will be your cat’s head. Don’t worry if it’s not a perfect circle. Cats come in all shapes.

Step 2: Add the Ears

On top of the circle, draw two triangles. One on each side. These are your cat’s ears. You can make them pointy or round, whichever you like.

Step 3: Make the Face

Inside the head, draw two big eyes. Add a small triangle nose in the middle, and a wide smile underneath. Don’t forget the whiskers. Three little lines on each side of the face.

Step 4: Draw the Body

Under the head, draw an oval or a big U shape. This is your cat’s body. Make it wide and soft-looking. Just like a cuddly kitty.

Step 5: Add the Legs and Paws

At the bottom of the body, draw two small ovals for the front paws. Behind them, add two curves for the back legs. Easy and cute.

Step 6: Finish with a Tail

On one side of the body, draw a long, curvy tail. Make it swirly or straight. It’s up to you. Now your cat looks complete.

Time to Color

Grab your crayons or markers and color in your cat. Make it orange like a tiger cat, gray like a tabby, or even purple with green spots. It’s your art. Have fun with it.
